Your dental implant practice in berlin
At Zahnkultur Berlin we know that you have a lot of questions about dental implants. That's why we've compiled all the essential information about dental implants and implantology for you on this website. We understand that there is a great need for comprehensive advice. After all, the decision for or against dental implants will probably come up for all of us sooner or later. After all, almost everyone will lose at least one tooth in their lifetime, whether due to dental disease such as tooth decay or periodontal disease, or as a result of a dental accident.
Implant-borne dentures are an excellent, fixed and long-lasting alternative to conventional removable dentures. Dental implants can replace a natural tooth almost perfectly - in appearance and function.

We are here for you!
Thank you Mr Öztan! Although I was afraid of the 'implantation procedure', you and your team were able to help me with your expertise, friendliness and calmness. Now I have the 'new ones' and I am very happy. Thank you very much and I hope that everyone who puts themselves in your hands will be happy with the results.
I received an implant from Mr Öztan. Consultation was 100% understandable, no pain during the treatment and none afterwards. Even the costs were kept within limits, which was not the case with the second opinion. Mr Öztan can definitely be recommended. The nice thing is that the same nurse was always there.
Mr Öztan gave me very comprehensive advice and also explained the costs. It only took 2 appointments and after that I was able to bite firmly with my new tooth and the staff are also friendly and courteous.
Abutment of a dental implant

Implant crown
The implant crown or superstructure is the visible part of the implant-supported dental prosthesis. It is therefore the crown, bridge or prosthesis attached to the implant abutment.
Implant abutment
The implant abutment is the connection between the implant body, i.e. the artificial tooth root, and the implant crown.
Implantat body
The implant body is the dental implant itself. As an artificial tooth root, it forms the basis of the fixed dental prosthesis.Contact

Dental implants: good to know!
Dental implants are a topic that almost all of us will have to deal with at some point. And with that comes a lot of questions. At Zahnkultur Berlin we are aware of the need for information and are happy to provide you with comprehensive, personal advice.
To give you an initial overview and the most important facts about dental implants and our dental practice, you will find a lot of information and useful knowledge below.
Fixed implants versus removable dentures
Missing teeth can affect your quality of life. Appearance is important, but missing teeth can also make it difficult to eat and speak. And sometimes there are other consequences too.
If a gap is left untreated, there is a risk that the unstressed jawbone will recede. This can cause the surrounding teeth to shift, lengthen, or the neighbouring teeth to shift forward unintentionally. It is therefore important to replace missing teeth as soon as possible.
Dental implants are an excellent solution for replacing missing teeth. Implant-borne dentures are strong, durable and look very natural. You can smile, speak and, most importantly, bite firmly again.
The colloquial term dental implant does not refer to the actual tooth replacement, but rather to an artificial tooth root.
This tooth root implant is firmly anchored in the jawbone and crowned when it has healed. The implant-borne denture should then be indistinguishable from your natural teeth to you and others.
Implantology – modern dentistry
Implantology is one of the most methodically and technically advanced areas of modern dentistry. Enormous progress has been made in this field over the last few decades. Sophisticated procedures and the latest technology and materials make it possible to carry out the procedures extremely gently and precisely.
At Zahnkultur Berlin, for example, we use 3D-guided implantology. This state-of-the-art method of placing dental implants optimises the space available in the jaw because the procedure can be planned precisely in advance.

The most frequently asked questions about dental implants
Is a dental implant treatment painful?
You will not feel anything during the procedure. This is ensured by anaesthesia, with local anaesthesia, twilight sleep or, if requested, general anaesthesia. You may feel some pain for up to 2-3 days after the procedure. However, simple painkillers usually provide quick and reliable relief.
What is the lifespan of dental implants?
Dental implants are very durable. After 10 years, more than 90 per cent are still proven to be fully functional. However, just like natural teeth, the longevity of dental implants depends on care and oral hygiene. With conscientious dental care and regular check-ups, your implant can last well beyond ten years, and often for life.
What can I expect to pay for dental implants?
The cost of implant treatment is difficult to quantify in general terms. It depends on your individual findings, the treatment required, the material used and the method of treatment. Another important factor is the extent of your health insurance cover. You will always receive a detailed cost and treatment plan. You can present this to your health insurance company. You will then know in advance whether and to what extent your insurance will cover the costs.
What are the risks of dental implants?
Any surgical procedure carries risks. Complications can also occur with dental implants. However, we can minimise these risks as much as possible. Thorough screening, careful planning and the most precise and gentle procedure possible all play a part in ensuring that the procedure goes smoothly and that the implants heal quickly and reliably.
When can I go back to work after a dental implant?
Light physical work, such as office work, can usually be resumed the next day. Swelling and moderate pain are possible for two to three days after the placement of the dental implants, but severe discomfort is rare. Follow your implantologist's recommendations and consult him or her again if in doubt. We are always here for you!
How do I look after my dental implant?
Interdental cleaning is particularly important in the daily care of your implants, using dental floss, interdental brushes, Superfloss or tufted brushes. We can offer you advice on choosing the right tools. In addition, regular professional implant prophylaxis in the dental practice is essential for the longevity of your dental implants. We recommend an interval of at least twice a year.
